Visit to the Nymph of the Lucchina, Rome
Rome is a continuous discovery of the ancient, you never stop digging, you never stop finding. In 2016, the restoration works by the Superintendency of Archaeological Heritage of Rome brought to light a new underground site: the Nymphaeum of Lucchina. We will take you to discover this ancient corner of paradise in the Ottavia area, originally a burial place, it became a bathing place, a search for otium and relaxation, reserved for a high social class fleeing the chaos of the city and looking for of silence. Characterized by well-preserved frescoed walls and a beautiful floor mosaic perfectly preserved and accessible through a small door leaning against a small hill, the fascinating and mysterious entrance to the site will awaken the curiosity and imagination of even the little ones.

Where this sits in Rome
Rome is about 33 min by road from Rome Fiumicino Airport. Three thousand years stacked on top of each other, still busy being a capital. Stay central and walk — the Forum, the Pantheon and a dozen churches worth the detour are closer together than the map suggests, and the city rewards wandering more than ticking off.
