Vine & Olive: Private Tasting Experience (Veget & Vegan Friendly)

Rome· Ancient city · food · artEnglish

The tour, priced for small groups, stops at Antico Casale, where you’ll meet the winemaker and then tour the vineyard and cellars. Learn how the wine is produced and maybe even sample a grape fresh off of the vine. After the winery tour, you’ll sit down for a tasting session and sample 3 varieties of wine that are produced here. The first wine you’ll taste is a white Frascati DOCG, which means the wine has its designation of origin guaranteed. The second is a red wine IGP, which has a protected geographical indication. And last but not least, taste a sweet Cannellino wine. Each wine is paired with a delicious Italian specialty, such as Roman pizza or olive oil, as well as in-season fruits and vegetables from the garden. You can book the same type of menu with vegetarian and vegan option

Where this sits in Rome

Rome is about 33 min by road from Rome Fiumicino Airport. Three thousand years stacked on top of each other, still busy being a capital. Stay central and walk — the Forum, the Pantheon and a dozen churches worth the detour are closer together than the map suggests, and the city rewards wandering more than ticking off.
