Underground Rome Tour
our tour driver will welcome you at your hotel or any other place of your convenience. We will start the underground tour of Rome with a trip outside the Aurelian Walls and down the ancient Appian Way to the Catacombs of Rome. Returning to the historic center, your tour driver will accompany you on a visit to the Capuchin Crypt, also known as the “Bone Church.” Few attractions in Rome rival this underground crypt created by the Capuchin Friars using thousands of bones of their fellow monks to decorate the walls and ceilings. What you’ll see: Catacombs of St. Callixtus, ancient Basilica of San Clemente and Capuchin crypt.

Where this sits in Rome
Rome is about 33 min by road from Rome Fiumicino Airport. Three thousand years stacked on top of each other, still busy being a capital. Stay central and walk — the Forum, the Pantheon and a dozen churches worth the detour are closer together than the map suggests, and the city rewards wandering more than ticking off.
