Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio (Driver Only/Self Touring)

Rome· Ancient city · food · artEnglish, Italian3 options

Our Orvieto & Civita di Bagnoregio Day Tour is a delightful excursion into the beautiful and relaxing countryside of Lazio and Umbria away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. We will begin with a scenic two-hour drive to Orvieto, a town perched high atop a hill. Orvieto is impressively situated above a volcanic plug, which is a volcanic landform created when magma hardens within a vent on an active volcano. Here, you will have time to explore and enjoy lunch before heading to Civita di Bagnoregio, a small ancient village that clings to the precipice of the steep hill it sits on and offers incredible picturesque view. This is as Tour By Car with only an English Speaking Driver (it does NOT include Tour Guides or Walking Tours). Your driver is NOT a licensed tour guide. Italian laws permits only licensed tour guides to accompany guests on foot to sightsee away from the vehicle.Drivers are obliged to remain with the vehicle while you SELF TOUR

Where this sits in Rome

Rome is about 33 min by road from Rome Fiumicino Airport. Three thousand years stacked on top of each other, still busy being a capital. Stay central and walk — the Forum, the Pantheon and a dozen churches worth the detour are closer together than the map suggests, and the city rewards wandering more than ticking off.
