Lost Wax Jewelry Making Experience in Milan

Milan· Design · aperitivo · rail hubEnglish, Italian

Your experience begins with a short introduction to the lost-wax technique, a centuries-old process still widely used by contemporary jewelers today. You'll then move directly into the creative phase, designing and shaping your own piece using wax and specialized tools. With step-by-step guidance from Giulia, you'll learn how to transform an initial idea into a detailed wax model while exploring the principles of jewelry design, proportions and craftsmanship. Throughout the session, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how a piece evolves from concept to finished object. At the end of the workshop, you'll have completed your wax prototype and learned about the subsequent stages of casting, polishing and finishing that will transform it into a wearable piece of jewelry. For information on how to collect or take home the piece created, please ask directly at the venue. Please note that it requires additional processing before it is ready. Shipping is available at a cost of €6.

Where this sits in Milan

Milan is about 55 min by road from Milan Malpensa Airport. Italy's working city, and the country's best rail hub. Design, aperitivo and serious food rather than monuments; a good first or last base because everywhere else is a fast train away.
