Naples· Pizza · chaos · PompeiiEnglish, Italian

Welcome to Pompeii, an ancient city frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. In this 2-hour walking tour, we will explore some of the most stunning highlights of Pompeii Archaeological Park. We will start with the Basilica, an important public building where people gathered to conduct legal and business affairs. Then we make our way to the Foro di Pompei, the political and social hub of the city, where you’ll see the remains of temples, shops, and public buildings. Next, visit the Granaries of the Forum, an impressive building that once stored large amounts of grain. We will then walk along the city’s main street where you can still see the remnants of shops and houses. Witness one of the largest and most luxurious houses in Pompeii, featuring impressive frescoes and mosaics. The Teatro Grande, an ancient Roman theatre where performances and events were held, is also on our itinerary. Finally, we’ll explore the Lupanare di Pompei, the city’s infamous brothel.

Where this sits in Naples

Naples is about 6 min by road from Naples International Airport. Loud, unvarnished and the best eating in Italy. Not everyone's first choice and it converts most of them anyway. The base for Pompeii, Herculaneum and the coast south.
