Where this sits in Venice

At €355 a night, Ca' Alle Gondolette by Sarlux is pricier than almost anything else in Venice, where stays run €76 to €281 a night. Venice is about 11 min by road from Venice Marco Polo Airport. Extraordinary and genuinely crowded, and the two are easy to reconcile: stay the night. The day trippers leave around six, and the city that is left — quiet canals, lit windows, footsteps — is the one worth coming for.
