Bologna in Depth: A Private Chef’s Enogastronomia Experience
I’m a local chef, pasta maker, and licensed Enogastronomia Specialist Tour Leader, featured by Forbes USA and Sydney Morning Herald for creating one of Bologna’s sought-after food tours. I’ve worked in kitchens across Bologna and Modena, including Michelin-starred Amerigo, hold certification specializing in Emilia-Romagna’s DOP and IGP products, and study Gastronomy at the University of Bologna (est. 1088). This is a fully private experience for a minimum of two guests—never mixed groups, just family or friends. Throughout the experience, I share stories behind the food, culture, and traditions, offering a deeper understanding of Bologna’s food culture. Enjoy Pignoletto or Lambrusco with local salumi and cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP with 25-year old Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, fresh handmade tortellini and tagliatelle al ragù from a Michelin-noted restaurant, Sangiovese di Romagna, finish the best gelato and an amaro. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

Where this sits in Bologna
Bologna is about 8 min by road from Bologna Marconi Airport. The food capital, and it does not have to try. Porticoes for miles, a real university city rather than a museum piece, and Modena and Parma close enough for a day out.
