Aquileia Unesco World Heritage
No need to go to Rome to discover the customs, culture and habits of the ancient Romans. Accompany me on a leisurely stroll through Aquileia to explore the most beautiful corners of this former royal seat of the Roman emperors - and a Unesco world heritage site. River harbor, forum, residential buildings, necropolis and the grave road. We visit the Duomo of Aquileia, its priceless and very well preserved floor mosaics. I will tell you about the development from an imperial residence to a patriarchal seat. After the lunch break, I would be happy to show you around the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia if you wish. If you need any other kind of information or help with your arrival or at any other time, you can always contact me.

Where this sits in Rome
Rome is about 33 min by road from Rome Fiumicino Airport. Three thousand years stacked on top of each other, still busy being a capital. Stay central and walk — the Forum, the Pantheon and a dozen churches worth the detour are closer together than the map suggests, and the city rewards wandering more than ticking off.
